Company Visit: Uncovering the Secrets of Parle-G

As part of our commitment to hands-on learning, a group of first-year RHIT students had the opportunity in early April to take part in an immersive educational visit to the Parle-G biscuit production facility.

This exciting outing allowed our students to step behind the scenes of one of the most iconic biscuit brands and discover the entire production chain—from mixing raw ingredients to the final packaging process. Welcomed by a dynamic team of professionals, the students gained valuable insights into the inner workings of the food manufacturing industry, a key player in both local and global economies.

Throughout the visit, they interacted with experts across multiple departments: production, quality control, logistics, marketing, and human resources. This gave them a well-rounded understanding of how technical operations align with managerial strategies and legal frameworks to keep such a large-scale enterprise running smoothly.

And to sweeten the experience, the tour concluded with a generous biscuit tasting session—a fun and delicious reward after a morning of learning!

This visit is part of RHIT’s broader vision of professional immersion, which includes:

  • Weekly alternating schedule (4 days of classes / 1 day in a company)

  • Regular industry visits

  • Real-world student projects

  • Monthly professional talks and conferences
